GeoPackage is an open, standards-based, platform-independent, portable, self-describing and compact format for the transfer of geospatial information. A new data provider that allows you to read GeoPackage files has recently been added in 'Spatial Manager' (CAD and Desktop versions)

The ASCII data provider supplied with 'Spatial Manager' allows you to Import/Export geospatial data from/to CSV, XYZ, TXT, ASC, NEZ, UPT, etc. files, and with very little added work, it is also valid for Excel, Access, etc. files. It has now been enhanced in order to preview the file contents and the configured provider parameters in a Tabular form
Due to the relevance of importing points from data tables in many projects and works related to territorial information, cartography or surveying, 'Spatial Manager' includes multiple systems that simplify this task. MS Excel is one of the most used tools to produce and manage this kind of tables and we will review here a couple of options to import points from Excel files to drawings or maps
Shapefiles (SHP), despite being a standard in GIS, are files with a simple structure that do not support different types of graphic objects in a single file. This requires multiple export processes when you want to export Points, Lines, Polygons, etc. 'Spatial Manager' now allows you to run a single export process generating multiple SHP files depending on the object types to be exported
